Lucy Chen began her professional career as an architectural photographer, having studied photography at Art Center College of Design Pasadena. Known for her sensitive use of natural and artificial light, ability to capture space, attention to formal compositions and architectural details, she established herself as a photographer of architecture and interiors in the Boston area.
Her photographs have appeared in more than forty books and periodicals published in the US and abroad; among these are Architecture, Architectural Record, Architectural Review, Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, Contract, Corporate Interiors 5 & 6, Interior Design, House & Garden, and Sports Illustrated. She enjoys collaborating with clients and brings a sensibility informed by a life-long love of art, design, literature and dance. Before enrolling at Art Center, where she received one of two scholarships awarded to her class, she studied American and French literature at Tufts University and graduated summa cum laude.
