Learning to Launch… with No Code!

In summer 2021, I started at On Deck No-Code, a global fellowship for creative and curious people to learn how to quickly design, build, and launch apps with no-code tools.

In 8 short weeks, we met with no-code experts, learned about incredible tools, and settled into a vibrant and energetic community of builders.

Here’s what I built.

Where’s the Toilet?

It began as a funny inside joke. As a petite Asian woman, I have an immensely small frame, which means that I am constantly running to and from the bathrooms at restaurants, movies, public parks, etc.

With COVID underway, I was worried about being able to find open public toilets near me, so voila— an app idea was born!

Built in Glide in under 3 hours, Where’s the Toilet was my first “dumb app idea”. And surprisingly… lots of people loved it!

I now actively update it each time I stumble upon a public toilet in my daily life. You’re welcome (I think).

Consulting Valentines

If you’re the rare bird that has explored this website quite thoroughly, these might sound familiar to you.

To give myself a challenge following the first dumb app, the Consulting Valentine Marketplace was an attempt to build an app in < 1 hour, using a completely new tool.

Built in Softr, the Consulting Valentine Marketplace is a conceptual place to buy valentines for that special consultant in your life.

Aid for Afghans

My latest launch and my first serious attempt to apply no-code tools to address a social issue.

Built in partnership with my cohortmate, Jeremy Wilt, Aid for Afghans is a crowdsourced directory of resources for Afghans, refugees, and allies. Aggregating 70+ resources shared on Twitter, Reddit, and Instagram, this app is designed to help people quickly find and give aid.
